We had a babysitter last night and decided we would have some friends over and have a little house party. What a POOPER! omg it was so boring. The girls were fine. But there was this one guy he didnt want to do anything he was just ready to go. IT sucked. So I guess I am getting to old and to mature to hangout w/ my little friends. I dont think thats a bad thing. I'm glad we are growing up!

Recently I've been reading a book about split personalities. The book has really been interesting and a great insight into the human mind. In the book one of the personalities are told by the doctor, "It's good you aren't the drinking type, because the bottle is sometimes substitute for the mothers nipple. The warmth from the alcohol is the warmth you feel from the mother." I have often drank so much I have no idea what took place. Like the girl in the book I have blank spots. Mine are not brought on by emotions I cant handle though like the girl, mine are brought on by to much drinking. Allowing myself to drink so much that my conscience self does not know whats going and the unconscience actually takes over and all my repressed emotions spill forward. If this is the real reason for drinking imagine how many of us need therapy?

Today was the Best! I love the snow, and the kids love it. We had a blast running around slidding down hills on sleighs throwing snow balls. I was completely exausted from it all though. We had a big warm breakfast this morning, then we got all the kids dressed and let them go ahead outside. At first we played at the house for a while then made snow angels. Then we decided to take the new sleighs and go to a friends house, so then we slid there for a really long time. Anyhow it was a wonderful days and I dont have many like this so I thought I would share!

I've watched Jarhead several times, and honestly it never meant much to me. I never cared much for politics, wars, the history of war, lol I didnt even watch the news b/c it was sad. Moving to where I am surounded with politics, and the news is constantly being rattled off to me (though I try to ignore it) really started to have an effect on me. Then we became friends of a solider. Him and his father are a long time friend of my mother in laws, but me knowing him and his lovely little lady feels different. They are not just names I hear, they are people I know. This makes the movie more real. Knowing that someone I know is over there makes this all to real. Where my view on the war does not change, and my feelings for violence and the news is the same. I have so much more respect for what is going on all around me, and now I do pay a more attention. I support our Troops!
